Ascent Hospitality Management is Hiring a HR/Payroll Coordinator Near Buford, GA

We are currently recruiting for a HR/Payroll Coordinator to join our team!
The Human Resources/Payroll Coordinator, is responsible for providing administrative support to other HR professionals by documenting staff changes, performance reports and communications. Their duties include scheduling on boarding tasks, processing payroll updates and managing communications for the HR department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by General Managers and Team Members who contact the Corporate office.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR and Payroll department.
  • Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Assists with new hires and termination process
  • Performs other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize duties to meet deadlines
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be familiar with the operation of office equipment such as: copier, printer, facsimile machine, telephone etc.
  • Must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions given.
  • Ability to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College course work in related field helpful.
  • Similar experience in a hotel or restaurant environment helpful.
  • Maintain Company standards of personal appearance and grooming
