Job Title: Middle School Humanities Teacher
Location: Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Denver
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Dean of Faculty
Work Hours/Days: School days (normally 7:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and staff work days during the school year, with 3 weeks of training/professional development days in the summer (mainly in August)
Desired Start Date: Early Summer 2024 (One full week in June, then Full-time in August) 2024
Salary Range: $42,000-50,000 annually

Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Denver (ACAND) is hiring a Middle School Humanities Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Located in Brighton, CO, just 3 miles from I-25, Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Denver is a growing school, offering grades K-8 for the 24-25 school year with plans to expand to K-12 by adding one grade per year.
We seek teachers with high standards of excellence, a professional demeanor, a warm rapport with students, clear communication with parents, and a can-do attitude to join our team. This position includes teaching a variety of humanities classes (grammar, history, literature, and composition) for the 6th-8th grades for a total of 5 sections. We follow Hillsdale College's program for curriculum.
The ideal candidate will be organized and devoted to helping students grow in wisdom and virtue.
