Seeking Full Time or Part Time Audiologist
**Location:** Ascent Audiology & Hearing, [Fort Lauderdale, FL]

Ascent Audiology & Hearing is a well-established private practice clinic dedicated to providing exceptional audiology services to our community. Our team is comprised of 2 experienced audiologists, 1 audiology assistant, and 2 front desk professionals who are committed to delivering personalized care and improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss. We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate audiologist to join our dynamic team.
**Job Description:**
As an audiologist at our clinic, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing loss and following audiological best practices. You will work closely with adult patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs and improve their overall hearing health. In addition to conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations, you will also provide counseling on hearing loss management, recommend appropriate hearing aids or assistive devices, perform hearing aid fittings and adjustment hearing aids as necessary. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals will also be required. We currently have 1 location but will be expanding in the greater South Florida market this year.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Personable and able to work with other audiologists and staff in the clinical setting.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations, including audiometric testing, tinnitus evaluations, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions testing.
- Perform audiological best practices including real ear measurements.
- Interpreting test results and making accurate diagnoses of hearing and balance disorders.
- Developing customized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and preferences.
- Providing counseling and education to patients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and hearing aid use.
- Recommending and fitting hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
- Conducting follow-up appointments to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, otolaryngologists, and other local healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Continuity of care for current patients in the office.
- Participating in continuing education and staying current with advancements in audiology practices and technologies.
**Qualifications:**
- Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or Master of Audiology (M.A.) from an accredited program.
- Current Florida state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an audiologist.
- Preference for 2 years’ experience in private practice setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Compassionate bedside manner and dedication to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Experience with hearing aid fittings and adjustments is desirable.
