Position Overview: As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in accounts payable, with proficiency in Sage100 accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently within established timelines.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to verify accuracy of billing and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors via check, ACH, and wire transfer, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and banking details.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounts payable function.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in accounts payable to recommend and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role
• Proficiency in Sage100 accounting software is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
