Responsible for the supervision of the CSS and fills in for the Program Director when absent. Responsible for overseeing the management of client care on and off property, and ensures this is being followed in accordance with philosophy of the organization. Lead CSS must act as a leader and a role model for the clients and staff, while demonstrating integrity, professionalism, proper boundaries, and ethics. This individual will assist in the supervision and training of program staff to ensure the companies policies and procedures are implemented at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing that the following facility duties are being completed by all department staff and communicating any deficiencies to the Program Director:
Responsible for completing all housework chores residents are incapable of completing.
Ensure clients are out of bed at required times and enforce curfew.
Enforce visitation hours, and monitors visitors to ensure only authorized visitors are present.
Monitor offsite activities including meetings, gym, appointments, etc.
Ensure and maintain cleanliness of the facility.
Enforce proper dress code of all clients.
Enforce and monitor client phone usage according to the policy and procedure manual.
Administer drug and alcohol screenings on clients, including clients that may be under the influence of any mind-altering substances.
Communicate Program Staff schedule to all employees in that department.
Maintain professional relationships with the staff, residents, families and visitors.
Maintain knowledge of job functions with the organization.
Ensure clients attend all schedule groups and therapy sessions.
Orient new clients to the facility, and ensure the clients understand the material, and signs all required intake documents.
Complete tasks provided by the Program Director in a timely manner.
Maintain a consistent and open channel of communication with Program Director.
Able to perform Resident Aids’ duties.
Responsible for answering phone calls and respond to emails professionally and able to transfer calls and take messages when needed.
Understand HIPPA, Confidential Information Release policy, and is able to follow and train Resident Aides on this policy to ensure the clients’ and staff are protected.
Other duties as assigned.
