Ascend is a small women-owned business that provides services and support for children with autism or other developmental disabilities. We are looking for someone who loves teaching or working with children, who is playful and fun, and who thinks on their feet to fill the role of a Behavior Technician. As a Behavior Technician, you will work collaboratively with a small team to provide play-based intervention services for children with disabilities.
We are a small company and value working closely with our team to provide a positive working experience for all of our employees and a positive therapy experience for our clients. Prior experience as a behavior technician or as an early educator is preferred.

Behavior Technician Requirements
· High School degree
· A minimum of 3 references
· Pass a background check
· Access to a reliable vehicle to attend sessions in clients’ homes.
· Computer/tablet skills
· Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry patients and materials.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Day and evening time availability
Behavior Technician Responsibilities
· Provide direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor.
· Collect and record data on patient behavior.
· Collaborate, communicate and assist with the training of clients, parents and staff.
· Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family.
· Carry out clinical assessments and other administrative duties.
· Maintain strict confidentiality.
· Attend training to acquire further knowledge.
