DescriptionAs a member of the Customer Service Department, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for organizing, shipping, and delivering goods nationwide in a smooth, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Essential Functions

- Develop good customer and vendor relationships to improve business performance
- Prepare necessary shipping documentation required for domestic shipments.
- Determine efficient and cost-effective methods of moving goods from one location to another.
- Coordinate with carriers to obtain and update the shipment tracking information for customers.
- Negotiate and arrange best shipping method for the domestic orders
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
- Communicate with sales/service and other functional areas to resolve customer problems in a timely manner.
- Process freight claims and coordinate credit or replacement as needed
- Maintain customer specific procedures for receiving; coordinate full trailer loads and consolidations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure orders shipped as promised
- Resolve freight discrepancies with carriers
- Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
- Coordinate with sales team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers
- Communicate service issues to customers, agents, and representatives
- Communicate with sales/service and other functional areas to resolve customer problems in a timely manner.
- Analyze order and shipment data and identify cost saving opportunities
- Maintain international customer profile and relevant customer information as well as task specific SOP’s
- Develop processes that make the process more efficient and organized
- Perform other tasks within the Customer Service Department as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Preferably DOT/DG certified
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Quick critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and outside of organization.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and a results-oriented mindset
