E-Coat Technician - 1st & 2nd Shifts

As our organization grows, we need to add two E-Coat Technicians. The E-Coat Technician monitors and tests the E-Coat system and the water waste treatment system. The E-Coat Technician reports to the E-Coat Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
- Support and follow Quality & Environmental Programs
- Safe handling of chemicals for process additions, testing and cleaning
- Perform various tests to confirm process operations
- Checking system parameters per established frequencies
- Checking parts for quality
- Mixing and adding chemicals
- Recording information in the appropriate data site
- Understanding paint tank system and operations
- Adjusting ovens
- Cleaning ovens and tanks
- Monitoring the waste water system
- Understand E-Coat operations and participate in preventative maintenance activities and do basic troubleshooting
- Understanding results from tests and applying corrective actions
- Perform various minor maintenance work
- Other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Three-years experience in chemical plant operations or electric coat painting
- Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
- HAZMAT training
- Knowledge of E-Coast paint system and waste disposal
- Ability to handle 500 lbs. drum cart
