Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Oracle DBA for one of our clients.

Role: Oracle DBA

Location: Plano TX (Onsite with Rotational Shifts)

Duration: Long term

Responsibilities:

· Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.

· Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

· Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning queries, indexing, and system configuration.

· Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data.

· Manage database users, roles, permissions, and privileges.

· Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data corruption.

· Coordinate with development teams to deploy database schema changes and application releases.

· Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and capacity planning.

· Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.

· Provide on-call support and participate in a rotating schedule for after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a production environment.

· Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, features, and functionality.

· Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.

· Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

· Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
