JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a Lead Oracle Database Management (Lead DBA) Near Plano, TX

Assume a vital position as a Lead in a client facing role that delivers infrastructure to core business teams at one of the world's largest financial institutions. As a Lead Database Engineer in a business aligned function of JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, Infrastructure Platforms, you will need to apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes defined by the infrastructure engineering discipline, while continuing to evolve your cross-functional/domain knowledge to best support client needs. You are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilities: Drive a workstream or project consisting of one or more database engineering technologies. Work closely with peer teams to deliver high availability and optimum performance for customers Responsible for incident, problem, change, risk management, vendor and client relationship, internal communication, service evolution, delivery, and lifecycle management for the database Work with other platform teams to design, develop and execute creative solutions for troubleshooting complex, technical problems and modernize the organization Act as primary customer interface for Major Incidents and service improvement projects. Lead root cause analysis meetings as part of process improvements Suggest efficient cloud products and drive migration of applications from On Premises to Cloud. Work closely with customers to drive database stability programs Provide solutions that avoid technical implications to upstream/downstream data and systems or advise on mitigation actions Develop and support routine operational activities with automation. Take part in Infrastructure resiliency automation and executionsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills: BS/BA Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent. Expert experience across Multiple Database Technologies (Oracle, Exadata, AWS RDS, Aurora, PostgreSQL) on Linux Expert on administering multi-TB databases needing 24x7 uptime as a Systems/Infra DBA. Proficient in multiple technologies with skills to identify, mitigate complex technical problems Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, ability to operate in/ migrate across public and private clouds. Ability to coach other team members on the same. Expert in driving end to end On Premise to Public Cloud Migrations setup, setting up observability for cloud DB (along with familiarity with tools such as Datadog used by application teams) Expert in DB Performance Diagnostic & Tuning skills (both SQL & system levels), Exadata tuning, handling Golden Gate Set up, Hub architecture Replication, migration using Golden Gate Hub Experience with features such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) Experience with architecting/ migrating DB from Oracle to Oracle and non-oracle like Postgres and other related databases, supporting and tuning advanced, strategic database mgmt. systems Good Knowledge of cybersecurity and system security best practices. Experience with Capacity management, Resiliency and Business Continuity Planning and execution Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices. Ability to coach other team members on the same Advanced understanding of business needs, ability to drive resolution of friction points in alignment across multiple teams in support of those needs. Ability to coach other team members on the samePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Good knowledge of IT infrastructure, awareness of systems and network administration Good Knowledge of multi-tiered application architecture, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer related experience Good knowledge of agile development methodologies and development tools such as JIRA, GIT & Bitbucket Ability to drive agile development, implement automated process to improve database reliability. Experience working on multiple service improvement programs, ability to prioritize work loads
