Artera is Hiring a Land Surveyor Near Boston, MA
Land Surveyor
The Land Surveyor will be primarily responsible for performing construction stakeouts for site improvement and natural gas projects including: utilities, curbing, pavement, column line and building corners, etc. This position will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
This position will be required to perform the following functions:
- Perform boundary, topographic, utility, right-of-way and existing condition surveys
- Utilize various survey technologies to complete projects
- Download and process survey field data
- Analyze and adjust survey control
Skills and Experience
Required
- Four years of related land survey work experience
- Proficient with the latest survey technologies, robotic total stations, base/rover & network GPS units
- Must be familiar with boundary, topographic, utility, right-of-way and existing condition surveys
- Knowledge of land surveying practices, principles and techniques
- Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills
- Possess a valid Driver License and a clean driving record
Preferred
- Familiar with AutoCAD for drafting and computations
- Knowledge of Carlson SurvCE, Trimble or TopCon
- Experience working in the Natural Gas Industry
