Artcinia

The Community Engagement and Marketing Manager (PT) will play a crucial role in increasing access to the performing arts in the city of Philadelphia. You will be responsible for designing and implementing audience-centered marketing strategies across a variety of channels, actively engaging with diverse communities, and serving as a public representative of the organization. This forward-facing position encompasses both community engagement and and marketing functions and requires active collaboration with the Co-Founder and other members of the organization.

Duties and responsibilities

Community Engagement

  • Foster new community relationships by actively identifying and engaging with key stakeholders, such as schools, sacred places, local businesses, artists, and organizations, to drive awareness, understand preferences, encourage collaboration, and enhance marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as a public representative of the organization by attending community events, meetings, and Music in Your Neighborhood performances to promote the organization's mission and build partnerships.
  • Work with the Co-Founder to establish new relationships, adding to the diversity of Artcinia’s demographic service profile.
  • Maintain a budget for marketing activities, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective strategies and resource allocation.

Marketing

  • Develop and execute marketing plans to promote the organization's mission and programs, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement.
  • Manage distribution of non-digital materials to ensure adequate market penetration.
  • Perform market research to identify target audiences and preferred marketing/communication channels.
  • Utilize research findings to improve awareness and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor the success of marketing initiatives and outreach.
  • Help identify opportunities for new content and projects that drive organizational objectives.
  • In collaboration with the digital marketing/communication team, create compelling marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, social media content, website updates, and email newsletters, that effectively communicate Artcinia's value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Proven experience (2 years) in marketing or community engagement work, preferably in the non-profit or arts sector, with a demonstrated track record of successful campaign implementation.
  • Understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices across both physical and digital channels.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Canva.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and represent the organization professionally in public settings.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Passion for the performing arts and a commitment to increasing access to arts education and cultural experiences in underserved communities.
Education Level:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
