Position Summary:

As a vital resource to our Smithtown, NY-based Command Center, the Supervising Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a team of Dispatchers to ensure that all duties and tasks are performed with efficiency and accuracy. The ideal individual leads by example in making alert and responsible company-driven decisions and promote a better understanding of job expectations and a supportive employee work-culture.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of 3 to 4 Dispatchers on duty
• Manage and mentor a team of 3 to 4 Dispatchers through continuous on the job training
• Ability to multi-task and make quick, responsible decisions using critical thinking skills
• Achieve Command Center objectives by managing staff KPIs and evaluating activities
• Operate within a team-oriented and collaborative culture, actively sharing best practices and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Enter required data and reconcile input with documentation
• Display empathy, active listening and clear communication with employees to ensure their needs are understood and addressed, creating a positive experience for the Arrow Security team
• Determine the full extent of customer needs and apply different approaches to achieve desired outcomes
• Handle basic customer complaints and problems with minimal assistance, recognizing personal limitations and seeking assistance from appropriate personnel when needed
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of management of dispatch, preferably in the security industry
• Minimum 3 years customer service experience
• Working knowledge of computer software/applications, experience in WinTeam a plus
• Administrative, call center, or clerical duties preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Proof of residence/right to work in the US
