Job Description: Accounts Receivable Administrative Support

Position Responsibilities:

• Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts receivable records.
• Support duties related to accounts receivable functions.
• Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Compiles and prepare routine reports and summaries.
• Obtain proper information and / or data regarding invoice payments
• Assemble invoices to be completed for payment
• Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
• Type periodic reports and other records
• Payroll – Time Card reconciliation
• Set up new jobs with budgets
• Monthly job close and reconciliation of project budget
• Help with general office incoming phone calls as needed

Requirements:

• At a minimum, an associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience can be substituted.
• 3-5 years relevant, hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy based on general accounting principles.
• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to meet all deadlines as required

Preferred Experience:

• Customer service in a plumbing, construction, or similar services environment
• Bilingual (prefer English / Spanish)
• Competent in Microsoft Office. Additional computer skills a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
