Arrow Medical Group, LLC is Hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) Near Chapel Hill, NC

Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing, you bear direct accountability for the entirety of patient care activities conducted within our facility around the clock. You will provide clear direction, effective supervision, and thorough evaluation of all patient care initiatives. Your role encompasses organizing and implementing robust management systems, facility policies, procedures, and programs to ensure optimal care standards. Collaboration is key, as you will coordinate Nursing Service activities with facility administration, community agencies, physicians, families, consultants, and ancillary service providers. Moreover, you will uphold responsibility for ensuring nursing service compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your duties extend to overseeing assigned sections on a 24-hour basis, as well as any other departmental tasks as required.

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Assess residents' conditions and nursing care needs, develop care plans, and determine appropriate nursing interventions to address physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative requirements, including discharge planning.
  • Create personalized nursing care plans for designated residents.
  • Execute care plans and adjust them as necessary.
  • Assess outcomes of resident care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Coordinate resident care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Articulate the department's mission and align staff with the corporate vision.
  • Lead the operations and administration of the department under the guidance of the facility Administrator.
  • Develop and guide assigned personnel in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate communication, coordination, and collaboration with the Administrator, staff, management, physicians, peers, external officials, vendors, and consultants regarding departmental and corporate activities and issues.
  • Supervise the procurement, setup, utilization, and maintenance of equipment, supplies, and work areas.
  • Oversee and maintain staff skill competencies, taking responsibility for their professional development and ongoing education.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as delegated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $101,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
