Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care during critical moments. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Emergency Patient Care: Providing immediate and efficient care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies, injuries, and traumas.
• Assessment and Triage: Conducting thorough assessments of patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity of condition, and initiating appropriate interventions.
• Treatment Planning and Implementation: Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring timely administration of medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously monitoring patient status, vital signs, and response to treatment, and adjusting care plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Patient Education: Providing patients and their families with relevant information regarding their condition, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Documentation: Accurately documenting all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care or emergency department setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
