Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Demand Planning Manager to join our team. The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the demand planning process to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, and alignment with business objectives. As a Demand Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping our supply chain strategy and ensuring the efficient delivery of solar energy solutions to our customers worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for all products and regions using historical data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models as necessary to improve forecasting precision.

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Implement inventory control measures to ensure availability of materials while minimizing carrying costs.

SAP Integration:

  • Utilize SAP ERP system for demand planning activities, including data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Work closely with IT teams to optimize SAP functionalities for demand planning processes and troubleshoot any system issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to gather input for demand forecasts and align planning with business goals.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products to meet demand requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the demand planning function and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to anticipate changes in demand patterns and adapt planning strategies accordingly.

Performance Metrics:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for demand planning processes and monitor performance against targets.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate demand forecasts, inventory status, and performance metrics to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably in the renewable energy or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP system, specifically in demand planning modules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and regions.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving measurable results.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy market dynamics and regulatory requirements is a plus.
