Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our amazing team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth operations

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, making sure they are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies

- Take dental x-rays as directed by the dentist

- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring patient comfort

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions

- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following strict aseptic techniques

- Assist with front office tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Skills:

- Familiarity with dental assisting techniques, including taking x-rays, charting, and sterilization procedures is desired

- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for medical documentation and appointment scheduling

- Knowledge of aseptic technique protocols to ensure infection control in the dental office
