Job Summary:

The Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for effectively leading HR best-in-class services that facilitate greater effectiveness throughout the site location. This position sits at the intersection of Human Resources and our Business Operations Leaders. This individual is responsible for shaping the associate experience, ensuring the company's talent grows meaningfully, and ensuring HR is a successful business partner. The role contributes to and leads the execution of human resources strategies and tactics to support the needs of the business. The role will be an expert HR business partner to operations leaders on all associate relations matters, proactive in problem-solving and solutions, and conflict resolution. In this role, you will be a subject matter expert for our on-site HR Operations and best practices. This is a highly visible role for our organization, and this individual must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency. The role requires you to effectively build relationships at all levels of the organization while providing exceptional support to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Broad HR duties: This role will provide expertise and guidance in policy creation and implementation, onboarding, associate retention, talent acquisition, change management, coaching, and workplace investigations related to the broader organization. They will partner with other HR team members in strategies and program execution while ensuring positive workplace relations.

2. Building relationships: Establish and maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization and the business to build effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization to collaborate on business strategies.

3. Communications: Advanced verbal and written skills. Ability to communicate, plan, and execute site communications clearly, concisely, and sustainably.

4. Responsiveness: a listen, learn, and support operation leaders and drive action through a consultative, “influence without authority” approach.

5. Policy Management: Responsible for creating and maintaining site-specific policies. Support and guide leaders regarding broader Company policies through the Associate Handbook, HR programs, and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are followed. 6. Open-door policy: Use the open-door policy as a trusted advisor to management and associates on HR-related matters, including performance issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Please follow up on all associate relations.

7. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Review hourly and salaried staffing plans to ensure goals can be met. Could you collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure timely talent placement? Partner on onboarding to ensure effective communication of on-site policies and expectations with associates.

8. Strategic Business Partner: Partner with leaders and their teams to develop and execute HR strategies and activities aligning with organizational goals and objectives and cultivating growth, innovation, and effectiveness. This includes creating, building, and implementing programs, processes, and tools to increase efficiencies.

9. HR Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to establish strategic plans, facilitate change and business solutions to achieve strategic business initiatives, and deliver results supporting transformation goals.

10. Performance Management: Act as a transparent partner by counseling and/or coaching leaders to determine the appropriate course of action regarding performance management and /or complex associate relations.

11. Talent Management: Partner with senior operations leaders in providing and coaching at the internal site process across all functions regarding 1:1’s, goal setting, and development plans through feedback loops.

12. Associate engagement events: Assist and support all associate activities related to associate engagement events, holiday celebrations, and community involvement.

13. Total Rewards: Act as point of contact for hourly benefits. Partner with Talent Acquisition on market research and analysis to ensure hourly competitive wages.

Qualifications: Required

1. Bachelor's degree in HR or related field. 2. 7 years of progressive experience in human resources, including policy creation and implementation, coaching, talent acquisition, onboarding, HRIS, and workplace investigations.

2. Must provide support on nights, weekends & holidays.

3. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.

4. Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.

5. Ability to effectively communicate with team members from diverse backgrounds and different communication styles.

6. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment laws.

7. Planning and organization to oversee and lead multiple initiatives.

8. Attention to detail. Sense of urgency. Follow-up and follow-through initiative.

9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

10. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

11. Ability to travel up to 10-20% to specific locations for support, projects, and/or training.

Qualifications: Preferred

1. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail, Distribution, Reverse Logistics/E-Commerce, and/or startup experience a plus. Experience implementing change in a dynamic and growth environment.

2. SHRM certification and/or the ability to obtain it within a year is preferred.

3. Master’s degree.

4. Union awareness and/or experience.

5. Bilingual-English & Spanish.
