THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a JOINT OPERATIONS CENTER TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D12450000 and is part of the IL JS, National Guard.
Qualifications:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,
Military Grades: Enlisted Only - May not exceed the rank of E9.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position; Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Level - MUST possess at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions; Experience demonstrating the ability to advise lower graded employees; Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control. GS-06 Level - MUST possess at least 9 months experience performing administrative work, gathering information, compiling data and preparing reports; Experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or law; Experience using oral and written communication. GS-05 Level - MUST possess at least 6 months experience, education or training that provided knowledge of general office work which may include but is not limited to: answering telephones, receiving and distributing mail and maintaining records; Experience following oral or written instructions to accomplish work; Experience establishing and retrieving files and information; Experience using common computer software designed for word processing.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Responsibilities:
As a JOINT OPERATIONS CENTER TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-0303-5/6/7, you will carry out duties which include: overall mission status of an armory or base and its assigned units, installation security, initiating emergency procedures, Crisis Action Team notification, and other duties critical to the conduct of the mission.Full Time
