District Wide Social Worker

Description

We are looking for a School Social Worker to work to support the Mental Health and Social/Emotional Needs of Students across the District.

POSITION: School Social Worker

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, School Psychologist, or other licensed Mental Health Provider
  • Experience working in schools with students with emotional and behavioral health needs
  • Experience working in a therapeutic and/or school setting
  • Licensed by DESE as School Social Worker and/or State Licensing Agency as Licensed Social Worker

REPORTS TO: Director of SEL and Counseling

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Individual and group therapy with identified students
  • Consultation with staff including coaching and professional development on social/emotional curricula
  • Caregiver/family trainings and outreach
  • Clinical crisis intervention, including assessment and facilitation of hospitalizations when necessary
  • Case Management
  • Participation in student IEP/Team Meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of SEL and Counseling

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with data collection and reporting
  • Ability to support improved academic achievement for targeted students
