Role and Responsibilities: Planning and Preparation:-Maintain daily classroom design and schedule -Create and implement art curriculum -Tailor lesson plans to individual learners K-4 and make adjustments based on formative assessment results -Monitor and order art supplies as curriculum require-Collaborate in planning with other members of the Specials TeamClassroom Environment: -Utilize Positive Behavior Interventions within the classroom to support students-Organize the classroom to address a variety of learning styles-Incorporate Zones of Regulation (SEL Curriculum) into classroom culture-Present a warm and energetic personality-Maintain an art classroom that encourages student collaboration Engaging Students in Learning:-Plan and lead students in collaborative performance experiences-Ask rigorous questions using the Depth of Knowledge Chart -Use SEI strategies to support students’ language acquisition -Intentionally plan for student collaboration and opportunities for dialogue-Utilize data to create targeted groups Professional Practice: -Attend and participate in weekly professional learning communities and team time as well as individual coaching-Possess a growth mindset when it comes to engaging with relevant and mission-driven professional learning-Maintain and update gradebook-Attend parent-teacher conferences each school year (one in Fall and one in Spring)-Participate in IEP, 504 and RtII meetings, when necessary-Participate in Family Engagement events/outreach-Partner with families to develop strong home to school connections-Participate in assigned morning, lunch/recess, and afternoon duties-Support, enforce, and adhere to all school policies and procedures-Perform additional duties stated by grade and department-level leaders and the Leadership Team-Prepare and organize K-4 Music and Art Presentation
