Job Summary:
The Arkansas Commission for Parent Counsel (ACPC) is seeking applications for a part time attorney to represent parents in dependency-neglect cases in the 16th Judicial District (Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard and Stone Counties. Preferably you will currently be qualified as Parent Counsel under Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order No. 15
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders
- Assist in developing strategies for resolving legal issues
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization
Requirements:
-Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in legal research, writing, and litigation
- Familiarity with legal administrative procedures
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively
-Administrative order 15 qualified preferred but will train if not
