Description
1. Ensures all Plant machinery is operating within design specs and takes appropriate action if not. Continuously monitors local indictors and building automation system to ensure proper operation of machinery and a stable supply of utilities.
2. Maintains detailed mechanical and electrical knowledge of all plant machinery and associated systems, continuously updates their knowledge and education about all newly purchased equipment.
3. Maintains knowledge of and practices all plant safety procedures. Understands the purpose and use of personal protection equipment.
4. Understands and has the ability to operate and maintain the following special purpose systems: Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, Medical Air, Medical Gas, Medical Vacuum, Emergency Generation and Switchgear, Remote Generator Monitors and Remote Boiler Monitors.
5. Conducts intermediate inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on machinery in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.
6. Ability to use tools, diagnostic test equipment; read and understand mechanical and electrical plans and schematics; set-up and correctly operate indicating tools for shaft alignment; understand ladder logic and diagnose problems associated with programmable logic.
7. Possesses knowledge of all emergency response procedures for all plant equipment/utilities and demonstrates the ability to carry out those procedures. Maintains our emergency power systems readiness at all times.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
