Arizona is Hiring a Research Technician I, Basic Medical Sciences (College of Medicine-Phoenix) Near Phoenix, AZ
Maintains mouse colonies, genotyping, and selective breeding of desired genotypes.
Under the supervision of Dr. Ferguson, set up and performs a variety of lab tests and operations, including, but not limited to, Western blot protein quantification, immunohistochemistry labeling, digital imaging, and animal behavior tests.
Record results, make observations, analyze data, and interpret test results.
Assist Dr. Ferguson with refining, adapting, and developing procedures or techniques.
Record information and maintain logs of experimental data.
Prepare required test solutions from detailed instructions.
Assist in research by completing basic notes and records.
Participate in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative results.
Under supervision, collaborate in the development of new strategies, techniques and equipment.
Coordinate the acquisition of lab supplies.
Provide research administrative support including coordinating schedules, handling intake, and maintaining records and files.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of organizing research lab notes.
Ability to analyze research results.
Ability to report results to the PI and in the laboratory meetings.
