Arizona is Hiring a Research Technician I, Basic Medical Sciences (College of Medicine - Phoenix) Near Phoenix, AZ
Under the supervision and guidance of the principal investigator, set up lab equipment following detailed procedures.
Perform routine laboratory procedures such as handling of autoimmune arthritis model, immuno and histological staining, ELISA, Flow analysis, light and fluorescent microscopy, RT-PCR.
Analyze data, record information, and maintain logs of experimental data.
Assist in maintaining the mouse colonies: mouse handling, breeding, weaning, genotyping.
Assist in performing animal experiments on research animals.
Coordinates the acquisition of lab supplies and general lab upkeep.
Assist with managing lab safety protocol, waste material, and arranging for disposal according to established procedures.
Clean/sterilize instruments, glassware, and equipment.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of the methods, materials and techniques used in laboratory and research work.
Knowledge of research and laboratory equipment appropriate to the area of the assignment.
