Establish and ensure the implementation of short and long-term goals, strategic plans, and processes/procedures that effectively serve the constituencies of the University community and encompass the entire life-cycle of infrastructure including but not limited to:
In alignment with University Core Values, create and foster an organization at all levels with integrity, compassion, exploration, adaptation, inclusion and determination. Supervises multiple levels of leaders and administrative support staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively listen to and hear from a wide variety of constituents (faculty, staff, leaders, students, and community members). Uses feedback and ideas constructively and frequently communicates priorities, plans, and decisions to the teams and the wider University community in a politically savvy manner. Negotiates and compromises to gain support.
Develop and manage annual budgets for the organization and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses with support from Business Affairs finance and budgeting colleagues. Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the organization.
Advise on the funding needs to adequately maintain the physical facilities of the University, and in the allocation of fiscal resources for various capital improvements and maintenance projects.
Serve on university committees, task-forces, and other groups providing institutional viewpoints and subject matter expertise.
Assist with Tucson/Arizona community-related physical space/resources projects and initiatives. Serve on professional association committees. May recommend and participate in the development of university policies and procedures.
