Arizona is Hiring a R&D Software Engineer II (Part-Time) Near Tucson, AZ
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate and interpret research output for problem solving in passive RF tracking of cislunar objects using state of the art S- and X-band wavelengths.
Develop innovative and creative solutions including analysis of the S- and X-band data from cislunar objects using COTS and custom software tools in collaboration with Space4 Center leadership.
Working with the Department of Defense sponsor to develop software requirements and come up, research solutions, and participate in the entire software development life cycle that meet the sponsor requirement.
Coding, testing, debugging, and the implementation of algorithms.
Support a work force development program focused on passive RF that includes providing information requiring significant explanation or interpretation to undergraduate and graduate students.
Communicate these results with the Space4 center and other units/centers under RII as directed by Space4 center director.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expert level knowledge of programming in Fortran, C, Python and MATLAB. Operational knowledge of GQRX.
Expert level knowledge of RF sensors, digital electronics, flight hardware processing, systems engineering, and hardware-software interfaces.
