Arizona is Hiring a R&D Software Engineer I (Lunar and Planetary Laboratory) Near Tucson, AZ
Assists with the design and coding of the Sample Analysis Micro-Information System (SAMIS) front-end (mobile phone application and website) and back-end (server and GIS database) as part of the NASA OSIRIS-REx Sample Return Mission.
Tests the coding of the SAMIS, finds and documents issues, and debugs the software to ensure software reliability. Integrate emerging technologies into the software.
Provides support and assistance to users by monitoring and responding to the support chat channels, producing and updating written tutorials and user guides, and guiding users through the bug report submission process.
Participates in code reviews, planning software development meetings, and other collaborative working activities in support of SAMIS software development with mission software engineers and scientists to conceptualize, develop and validate all elements of SAMIS.
