Arizona is Hiring a R&D Electrical Engineer II - Steward Observatory Near Tucson, AZ

With communication and instruction from other engineers, the candidate will define problems as well as design and build electronics to meet requirements. The candidate must use first electronic principles to solve electronic requirements. Work will include troubleshooting and solving power resistance to design and build circuits. This may include some simulation using such as PSpice. The need for knowledge of embedded programming is needed.
Implement complex high-speed circuit boards over the entire product cycle including architecture, design, layout, test, and development.
Develops firmware and hardware to include building, testing, and improving on firmware and hardware.
Manage assembly and fabrication contracts these would include electronic parts to assemble boards and working with board houses to get items ordered and built.
