Arizona is Hiring a Community Outreach Professional III Near Tucson, AZ
Ensure that program objectives and outcomes are met in accordance with established priorities, timeframes, funding, and other specifications. Utilize Microsoft 365 software to enhance the organization, accessibility, and transparency of material across the team.
This position reports to the Director of (APW) and is a participating member of the dynamic, cooperative, statewide APW team. This position is posted in Tucson (Pima County) but supports/delivers out-of-county programming – necessitating some travel throughout the year.
Develop schedules, oversee daily operations, and coordinate the program calendar. Determine priorities in accordance with grant objectives, deliverables, and deadlines. Maintain data points, summarize results, and support the compilation of various program reports. Support and sustain a culture of Integrity, Compassion, Exploration, Inclusion, and Determination.
Connect, collaborate, and nurture relationships with community partners: K-12 personnel, government agencies, NGOs, and corporate sponsors. Promote University of Arizona water education initiatives and APW programs. Develop, compile, and compose communication and/or promotional text for distribution such as newsletters, brochures, or flyers, managing the process from design to distribution.
Enthusiastically deliver APW programming with exceptional skill: meaningfully connect content to participant and participant to action, ensuring attainment of measurable outcomes. Build rapport with students, teachers, AmeriCorps Members, and the APW team to deliver quality programming, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
Supervise 1-2 key team member(s) who provide crucial operational support. Collaborative members of the APW Team are expected to offer/provide technical advice, insights into best practices, creative problem-solving, and reflection on performance. The coordinator is both coach and colleague, supporting the whole team: Volunteers, AmeriCorps Members, APW Outreach Specialists, other APW Coordinators, as well as the Program Manager.
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift up to 25lbs and move equipment for programs will be required on a regular basis.
