About the Role:
This position is responsible for overseeing and training the infield Install team members who are responsible for measuring and installing custom made shower doors for a variety of customer channels. Job duties include on-boarding and assessing new installers, assisting in installation troubleshooting, R&D of new products, developing and managing metrics for measuring quality and accuracy of custom installations, as well as involvement in end-user shower door installations, taking premeasurements, service calls, setting up appointments for these services, transporting products in a company vehicle, maintaining tools and parts, customer satisfaction and general labor skills. Additionally, installation training/troubleshooting for customers may be required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Utilizes technical experience to measure and discuss shower door installation process with customers.
· Professional, high level of customer service exhibited at all times with customers and the ability to defuse/solve customer escalations.
· Safety conscious approach to installations and driving techniques.
· Understands and maintains licensing compliance in all geographic regions, including but not limited to, contractor’s license requirements, job permits, LRRP requirements and general legal compliance.
· Understands and can explain shower door differences and benefits of ASD product line and other ABG shower products.
· Experience installing standard, frame-less, and custom shower doors.
· Treats customers home as if it were their own, leaves work area clean and puts a strong emphasis exceeding customer expectation.
· Works well and communicates effectively with team members not only within the install department but also across the broader enterprise.
· Prioritizes work to meet or exceed established performance standards.
· Time and Logistics management
· Provide work order follow-up and reporting as required.
· Must have experience lifting, moving and working with heavy glass.
· Attention to detail including accurate measuring and estimating.
· Works with engineering and product development team to write and modify installation instructions.
· Utilizes experience to provide standardized procedures for installation of all types of doors.
· Excellent product knowledge and ability to articulate sales and installation processes to end-user.
· Travels regularly to markets to assess new and current installation teams, provide performance feedback, proper technical application and training as needed.
· Ability to communicate many different applications of product line – buttress, angles, etc.
· High level understanding of CIO, IME, HD Service Center, Excel, and other information platforms, and the ability to train installers on proper usage thereof.
· Ability to assist inside installation team with quotes, specifications, recommended and best practice applications.
· Creates and manages KPIs to measure quality, accuracy, and efficiency of installers.
· Able to evaluate and develop talents and skills of Installers through jobsite inspections, formal performance feedback, and informal day-to-day interactions.
· Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED.
· Experience using hand tools and power tools.
· Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs. unassisted with proper equipment on a regular basis.
· Clean background check.
· Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to multitask.
· Proven experience using basic math calculations, including working with fractions.
· Excellent work ethic.
· Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
· Well organized, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· 5 years shower door installation experience.
