About us:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Collections Specialist to join our team at The Hospital at Westlake Medical Center. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding patient accounts receivable balances.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze patient accounts receivable balances.
• Contact patients and insurance companies to collect outstanding balances.
• Resolve patient billing inquiries and disputes.
• Update patient accounts with accurate and timely information.
• Work with other departments to ensure accurate billing and collections.
• Meet or exceed monthly collection goals.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical collections.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical billing software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
