Description

A Customs Brokerage Agent primary duty is the performance of office non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations. The employee's primary duty must include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Specific Job Duties:

• Receive, review, and process import documentation from electronic or manual sources
• Trace key transaction information such as Bill of Lading, commercial invoice and other required documents to determine if they comply with 19 CFR regulations
• Interface with customers, vendors and fellow employees
• Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problems or irregularities
• Provide assist with proper classification
• Knowledge of a variety of clearances preferred: FTZ admissions, Inbonds, regular entries.
• Provide excellent and timely customer service on status of incoming shipment to customer
• Interface with CBP and other Federal Agencies, when need be
• Coordinate and communicate customs release to carrier and the customer
• Manage deliveries to internal and external trucking companies
• Invoicing customers within 4 days after Delivery
• Manage/Monitor daily electronic tasks and milestones of each shipment

Requirements:

• Two years experience 
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs 
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner 
• Strong communication skills with multi-faceted and diverse backgrounds 
• Balance team and individual responsibilities
• Excellent customer service skills 
• High School Diploma or GED 
• Bilingual Preferred
• Specific Hours Required: 9am to 6pm, M-F
