ARG Industrial is Hiring a Counter Sales Near Bellingham, WA

Description

The Counter Sales position is a key member of the team, providing excellent customer service and handling all sales transactions at the counter. This position serves as the face of the company, engaging with customers, answering questions, and providing product information. The Counter Sales role is also responsible for accurately processing payments, reconciling sales, and managing inventory. The individual in this role contributes to the overall success of the sales goals, as well as the company’s long-term vision. 

Essential Functions

  • Embody the ARG Industrial Core Values of authenticity, taking ownership, being helpful and collaborative, having a desire to elevate and evolve, and exhibiting grit.
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide proactive, meaningful product and service recommendations and assistance to walk-in customers.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Stock showroom shelves with merchandise and ensure shelves are organized and tidy.
  • Build customer loyalty through personalized service, exceeding customer expectations and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Handle customer escalations promptly, addressing complex issues and ensuring their resolutions.
  • Communicate leads & opportunities to inside & outside sales through CRM software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Position primarily operated in an office setting, utilizing standard office equipment including cash registers, computer systems and relevant POS software.
  • May experience extended period of standing.
  • Regularly lifting and carrying objects (up to 40 pounds).
  • Working in quiet to moderately noisy environments, normal for warehouse and industrial environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Occasionally managing a challenging and high-pressure situation requiring composure.
  • Working with production equipment, powered machinery, and hand tools including hydraulic crimpers, saws, grinders, cutter, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successfully pass drug test screenings throughout employment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish connections.
  • Attentive listening skills to understand customer needs and respond appropriately.
  • Basic knowledge of customer service principles, focusing on exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and inquiries professionally, seeking to provide satisfactory resolutions.
  • Proficient in using computers and relevant software applications. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle customer interactions effectively.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Previous experience in sales and customer service role is preferred.
