Area Temps is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Columbia, OH

A Quality Technician is needed to ensure the organization’s compliance to required quality standards by maintaining documentation, manage the gauge calibration system, and suggest continuous improvement ideas and cost savings opportunities. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain calibration standards and records for all gauges
  • Perform first piece and final inspection
  • Sort and rework rejected parts
  • Respond to customer complaints for reporting and resolution as requested
  • Complete SBP-10 Non-conforming Product Process
  • Assist in the development of control plans, FMEA’s, and check sheets
  • Perform capability studies, analyze data, and maintain quality system records
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Update PPAP related information
  • Participate in Quality Department and APQP meetings
  • Comply with all company environmental, health, and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as required

Job Qualifications:

  • Must have an Associate’s Degree of 3 years’ experience in a position with similar responsibilities and job knowledge
  • Must have a mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Plex Quality Module, and other software packages
  • Must be able to understand and apply quality related processes and supporting documents
  • Must have the ability to perform inspections
  • Must be able to perform capability studies, analyze data, and maintain quality system records
  • Must have an eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
