Area Substance Abuse Council is Hiring a Residential Program Manager Near Clinton, IA

Description

We are seeking a Program Manager at our King House site in Clinton to supervise and provide substance use treatment programming for adult men at the Halfway House level of substance use treatment.

The Program Manager will:

  • Provide direct supervision of halfway house clinical and patient support staff by establishing and maintaining patient service goals, weekly work plans, staff evaluations and by evaluating ongoing program effectiveness, systems, etc. and formulating recommendations for change
  • Ensure that proper clinical record keeping occurs within appropriate time frames and on approved agency forms and ensures that each patient record is an honest and complete reflection of the services rendered by ASAC staff.
  • Select relevant group topics and discussion areas, leads groups or assigns a specific counselor(s) to facilitate, or co-facilitate said groups.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with all state substance use disorder programs, United Way agencies, other ASAC component supervisors, and other local organizations to ensure a consistent referral base
  • Intervene in all crisis situations where the welfare and/or reputation of the program may be adversely affected by staff or patient behavior.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, in accordance with HIPAA and 42CFR, compliance with ASAC policy, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and all state licensing standards as determined by the Department of Health, Substance Abuse Division

Requirements

This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass an extensive background check. As a condition of employment, new hires will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved exemption. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and three years supervisory experience (preferred), Certification from IBC (required within 18 months of hire).

Salary and Benefits

ASAC offers competitive compensation. Bachelor's level staff start at 40k per year. Staff are eligible for a complete benefit package including, Health and Dental, FSA, company paid Life/AD&D/Short and Long Term Disability, Voluntary Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Paid Holidays, a 403(b) Retirement plan with a match and a generous Vacation, Personal Time and Sick Leave Plan.
