The Special Education Instructional Coach is responsible for providing instructional support and guidance to teachers and staff working with students with special needs. They collaborate with educators to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, curriculum adaptations, and behavior management techniques to meet the diverse needs of students in special education programs. In addition, the Special Education Instructional Coach helps to support teachers in how to be a leader within the classroom and how to support direct line staff in their work. The Instructional Coach also facilitates professional development workshops, conducts observations and assessments, and offers personalized coaching to improve instructional practices
ACES Academic Calendar Year, 10-month (186 Days) plus preferred ESY
Connecticut Special Education Certification (165 or 265) Required
Minimum of a Master's Degree and 10 Years of Teaching or Related Experience
