Explore the potential of your pharmacy experience in an elevated role.We are recruiting a Prescription Resolution Specialist to join our team of health care professionals. As a Prescription Resolution Specialist, you will provide exceptional service to patients by coordinating resolution for time-sensitive, complex, and escalated needs. The Prescription Resolution Specialist will be an expert in Ardon workflow and a liaison between all Ardon teams to coordinate resolution of a variety of workflow exception processes and urgent order monitoring. This position will be trained and proficient in various stages of prescription workflow and will flex in to support across operations as requested to meet business needs.Job type: Full-timePay range: $25.90-$32.38 depending on experienceBenefits:

Position responsibilities:
  1. Monitors, prioritizes, and ensures follow-through of all assigned items, including issue resolution, navigating exception workflows, and monitoring urgent orders across teams.
  2. Acts as liaison between the company, patients, insurance plans, manufacturers, and providers; providing communication for delays, issues, or requests received.
  3. Assists with urgent prescription outreach and processing through workflow.
  4. Assists with triage and response to medication shortages, backorders, outages, and recalls under pharmacist direction.
  5. Supports patient transition processes including but not limited to new generics to market, new biosimilars to market, and plan formulary changes.
  6. Possesses a well-rounded understanding of prescription workflow and respective teams. Applies this knowledge in daily tasks.
  7. Works closely with pharmacists to meet patient timeline needs, resolve issues, and navigate barriers to care. Effectively communicates challenges and solutions to a pharmacist and operates in accordance with pharmacist guidance.
  8. Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills and appropriately takes initiative when presented with a challenge.
  9. Provides clear communication and direction across operational teams, to facilitate processing of urgent prescriptions and exception processes.
  10. Acquires and maintains competency in completing various steps of prescription workflow, to assist in expediting urgent prescriptions and support business needs.
  11. Performs assigned duties with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  12. Demonstrates a commitment to continued learning and quality improvement.
  13. Serves as a resource for questions related to prescription workflow and issue resolution steps and processes.
  14. Demonstrates consistent adherence to departmental policies and best practices.
  15. Communicates with patients as needed regarding prescription refills and refers any medication or illness related questions or concerns to a board licensed healthcare professional.
  16. Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA regulations.
  17. Maintains patient safety as a top priority.
  18. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Ardon’s core pharmacy applications, working closely with business systems analysts to improve cover system functionality, test releases, and guide analysis of system issues.
  19. Maintains active Oregon license. Informs supervisor within 1 business day (and Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 10 days) of any arrests, convictions, suspected or known violations of law, or any other conduct that might affect or has affected license status. Reports to Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 15 days any changes to name, residence address, or employment.
  20. Assists leadership with identifying and escalating system or workflow issues.
  21. Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities.
  22. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required skills:
  1. Education and experience
  1. Required:
    1. High school diploma or GED.
    2. Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License. A Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License will be required prior to expiration of existing Oregon license or as required by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
  2. Preferred:
    1. Successfully meets all essential functions of a level II pharmacy technician role or higher.
    2. Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a pharmacy setting, including 1 year of experience working in specialty pharmacy.
    3. Experience in effectively managing and prioritizing daily workload and meeting deadlines.

    2. Must be able to express oneself, detect, perceive, observe, and assess information exchanged in a variety of communication methods.
    3. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft programs and pharmacy software.
    4. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, prescribers, manufacturers, and other employees.
    5. Show proven success with multi-tasking and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to prescription operations.
    6. Must be innovative and solution oriented.
    7. Must be able to express oneself, detect, perceive, observe, and assess information sent and received in a variety of communication methods.
    8. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
    9. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  2. Working conditions
    1. Work is performed primarily at a desk, with extensive keyboard work in stationary position.
    2. Business needs may occasionally require work in excess of 40 hours per week, including work outside of standard workweek.
  3. Contact with others:
    1. Internally with Ardon employees across multiple departments.
    2. Externally with patients, prescribers, prescriber agents, insurers, and manufacturers.
