EHS Field Specialist
Your role :
Implements safety programs to ensure safe and accident-free work environment. Delivers programs to train managers and employees in workplace safety practices, as well as environmental requirements and facility security measures.
Maintains system to track facility inspections, safety violations, manner of resolution and follow-up reports. Participates in accident investigations and preparation of accident reports.
Your responsibilities :
Manages, supports, and drives multi-mill Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Facility Defense programs to ensure operations minimize the impact upon the environment and provides a safe and hazard-free work environment.
Responsible for supporting the development of and implementation of a facility-wide EHS culture of ownership and accountability through technical support, program development, and relationship building.
Timely submittal of environmental permit renewal applications. Insure, where applicable, adherence to PSM program elements for chlorine.
Perform annual LTT certifications for all qualified workers. Coordinate the annual Electrical Worker certification program.
Coordinate environmental activities such as Sustainable Development, Zero Waste, etc. initiatives and programs.
