Responsibilities

* Ensure all equipment needed for procedures is disinfected, assembled, and functioning properly

* Prepare patients for their surgery, arrange medical equipment and assist doctors during surgical procedures

* Open supplies and instruments utilizing the aseptic technique

* Prepare the operating room for pre-assigned cases using physician preference

* Sterilize equipment and provide surgeons instruments upon their request during surgical procedures

* Order, replenish, and take inventory of supplies and other surgical supplies as needed

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Possess an accredited Surgical Technologist Certification OR be willing and eligible to obtain it within the first six months of employment

* Active BLS certification

* 1-year of Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist experience
