Responsibilities

Experience with Commerce systems is highly preferred, but not the dealbreaker. Tasks includes but not limited to:

  • Supports Budget Formulation and Execution: The role involves activities like finalizing operating plans, comparing them with obligations and expenditures, and handling carryover assessments.
  • Prepares Budget Reports and Analysis: The position requires preparing and analyzing regular and special budget reports, which is crucial for the tasks like comparing FY 2023 and FY 2024 operating plans and status of funds.
  • Leadership and Coordination Skills: The role involves leading a team and ensuring coordination across various departments, which aligns with the requirement to work with different NTIA offices and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Experience with Complex Financial Systems: The ability to integrate and manage complex financial practices and systems is important, especially when working with multiple funding sources and planning for scenarios like extended Continuing Resolutions (CRs).
  • Expertise in Financial and Accounting Systems: The experience in Federal financial and accounting systems is particularly relevant for tasks like staffing plan accuracy, T&A path forward, and implementing business process improvements
  • Ability to lead a team of financial management professionals. .
  • Must demonstrate experience in working with multi-year/no-year appropriations and differing appropriations (e.g., O&M and Procurement).
  • Serves as a leader ensuring that a group of financial management professionals are working in concert with automated complex business practices within the time frame specified by the customer and that all of the requirements are met.
  • Must be able to assess products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, and multi-tiered system application standards.
  • Must be able to grasp interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems concurrently or later.
  • Prepares all milestone documentation and presentations for senior managers, colleagues, and subordinates.
  • Can present material before outsight authority for the client and/or prepare Program Managers for briefings and presentations.
  • Is thoroughly familiar with activity based costing, business case analysis and outsourcing requirements. 
  • Qualifications

    Approximately 8 years of related experience.

    Education

    BS/BA degree in business, management or related field (or equivalent).
