Facility is located in Galax, Virginia, about 13 miles to the south of Hillsville. Galax is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains which offer a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy such as the New River Trail State Park, hunting, fishing, and canoeing, kayaking or tubing on the New River. Also, the Appalachian Trail passes through our area providing scenic views and great hiking. The Virginia Creeper Trail, one of the areas most popular trails begins at Whitetop Station.
