IMEG Corp. is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Building Performance Consultant in our
Long Island, NY
office. As a Building Performance Consultant you will be responsible for performing energy services related duties including energy studies and energy audits, energy modeling and renewable energy designs.
Some key duties and responsibilities include:
- Energy efficiency and conservation consulting;
- Energy master planning;
- Develop and promote clean, renewable, sustainable energy strategies and projects;
- Conduct energy benchmarking and energy audits (ASHRE Levels I, II & III);
- Prepare and review designs drawings for on going projects and either recommend energy conservation strategies or evaluate the feasibility of the designed energy measures;
- Support LEED and Energy Starr Design and the associated certification process;
- Provide Energy Modeling Services (eQuest);
- Consult on energy operations and maintenance procedures.
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings;
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in energy direction, requirements and initiatives;
- Have working knowledge of federal and regional tax rebate and credit programs, and PACE financing for facility energy upgrades;
- Know and implement national and local energy conservation codes and local laws;
- Skill in the use of Microsoft programs and AutoCAD software;
- Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;
- Ability to travel locally to visit project sites and buildings.
Education and experience requirements are:
- Bachelor of Science in a building science or related field;
- Minimum of 4 years of qualifying experience;
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) preferred but not required.
Salary Range $90,000- $100,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
