Maintenance & Process Efficiency Manager – Located at any US based Sweeteners terminal – ideally Portland, OR, Lodi, CA, Salt Lake City, Utah, or Chattanooga, TN.Job Summary & Essential FunctionsManage the efficiency of ADM sweetener terminal process automation, and project oversight.
- Work with Director Logistics & Terminal Distribution and appropriate region Area Manager to create annual capital expenditure project list.
- Oversee and work with sweetener division terminal managers on all process efficiency projects.
- Work with sweetener division terminal managers on all capital expenditure/AFE projects.
- Work with sweetener terminal managers on purchasing specifications for all capital expenditure/AFE projects.
- Enter all capital expenditure/AFE projects into WAVE and create appropriate budgetary numbers.
- Enter all AFE Work Orders into MAXIMO and track spending against approved AFE’s.
- Work with appropriate ADM national account managers to assist with customer processing needs at their facilities.
- Ability to travel within the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
- Dedication to working safely and to the awareness for the safety of others. Has demonstrated safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures.
- Understanding of requirements for performing work in a food manufacturing facility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with colleagues and management teams to complete projects on time.
- Working knowledge of common process drawing and documentation such as P&ID’s, blueprints, flow diagrams and control narratives.
- Knowledge of piping, process flow and equipment standards.
- Working knowledge equipment such as pumps, boilers, etc
- Ability to read and understand ladder logic and automation.
- Basic knowledge of AC/DC circuit theory
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety devices (breakers, fuses, etc.)
- 2-4 years instrumentation experience and/or equivalent degree or schooling (industrial or commercial setting)
- Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently while traveling to remote terminal locations.
- Willing to improve technical skills through on-the-job and/or outside training
- High level of motivation and results-oriented way of working.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Ability to work with internal and external collaborators, multiple contracted trades, efficiently and with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind.
- No certifications or licenses required
- No college degree required, but must have at least 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing from the food or beverage industry.
- High school education or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes
- Must be able to travel up to 25%
