• Develop and implement engaging and rigorous English curriculum aligned with grade-level standards and the school's mission.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical inquiry.
• Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and foster 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and promote cross-curricular connections.
• Foster a love of reading and writing through literature circles, creative writing projects, and literary analysis.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development as readers, writers, and thinkers.
• Regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, upcoming assignments, and ways to support learning at home.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field.
• State certification or licensure in secondary English education.
• Experience teaching English at the middle school level
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in English education, including literacy instruction, literary analysis, and writing process.
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and digital resources for teaching and learning.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, parents, and administrators.
• Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic school community, including fostering faith formation and character development.
