St. Catherine of Siena School is seeking a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The position involves teaching Preschool through 8th grade students.

Other Qualifications Include :

• Fluent in speaking Spanish; Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing to students via both English and Spanish
• A Bachelor's degree or greater; current Washington state teaching certification required
• Successful prior experience teaching Spanish in an elementary classroom setting
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of student abilities and needs

Major Duties and Responsibilities Include :

• Provides Spanish instruction to students in Preschool through 8th grade
• Plans lessons and units that engage student learners through a variety of instructional methods and reflects best practices
• Uses formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and monitor students' progress
• Ensures curriculum, materials, and instructional practices are aligned with World Language Standards and Common Core State Standards
• Regularly integrates technology in lessons to support student learning
• Provides regular feedback to parents regarding student progress
• Assures the creation and maintenance of a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages students to think critically
• Collaborates with fellow teachers and staff in the implementation of instructional programs and activities that promotes the Catholic identity and goals of the school
• Regularly pursues professional development opportunities and maintains a growth mindset

Salary : $67,495 - $113,193. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
