Description Mission : The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of our community through selfless service under the sign of love.

Workdays : Monday - FridayWorks Hours : 8 : 30 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.Location : 202 W French Pl, San Antonio, Tx, 78212

Summary : clients' accounts specialist will be responsible for clients' budget development and monitoring of budget expenditures to ensure that spending and charges are within the approved program budget for the programs grants and contracts that the Refugee Program participates in.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Create clients' budgets, and type up monthly client expenses for the R&P and Match Grant regarding direct client assistance.
  • Record program and specific client donations for signature, Submission of monthly donation report to finance. And Full Charge of RP accounts Payable in intact-correctly code all Purchase Requisitions, obtain approval for payment from appropriate personnel, data entry of PRs in accounting system, process and copy and disburse checks.
  • Filling- Maintain the files for the RP accounts Payable Purchase Requisitions, Maintain financial portion of client files.
  • Accountability to Funding Sources MRIS database for client expenses- Complete month-end, quarter-end and grant year-end reporting as required by various funding entities.
  • Support assistance to Financial Senior Accountant, and CFO in ensuring month closes so that reporting process can commence.
  • Equipment -Maintain the postage meter and RP copy machine. Take reading for postage meter for RP allocation. Maintain supply order to make sure the RP offices are sufficiently stocked.
  • Maintain RP petty cash and complete monthly report.
  • Report on activities to the Program Director and other staff during required weekly staff meetings. And Discuss concerns regarding client situations or program issues with appropriate staff immediately.
  • Complete weekly schedule, bi-weekly time sheets and monthly mileage.
  • Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary
  • Other duties as assigned by the RRS Associate Senior Director.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education / Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in a social service-related field is preferred, or a minimum of four to six years’ experience in a social service environment that demonstrates a sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultural populations.
  • License and Credentials
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license, with clean driving record
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Minimum Knowledge and Skills :

  • Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal grants and / or contracts and maintain appropriate working relations with funding sources.
  • Complete required reports to funding sources in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Knowledge of Program Manuals and Operational Guidelines.
  • Knowledge of client files documentation and record keeping.
  • Skilled in organization and time management.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate ethical boundaries and professional client relationship.
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff to improve performance.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Travel Requirements :

Travel requirements for the position includes 25% local weekly; and 2% overnight annually.
