General Responsibilities Develops an effective instructional program to support individual student needs and varying disabilities using a continuum of service delivery models. Essential Job Functions:

• Facilitates the functioning of a 6-8 Learning Support Team.
• Plans with classroom teachers regarding services.
• Provides individual and small group instruction in and out of classroom.
• Coordinates and facilitates parent involvement and participation including parent notification of program services.
• Plans and implements, in collaboration with teachers and parents Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for children with varying disabilities.
• Cooperates with teaching staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Monitors and assesses student progress and communicates on a regular basis to teachers, parents and students.
• Documents and maintains records of meetings, ILP’s, and progress.
• Assists teachers in providing accommodations.
• Provides information regarding needed accommodations.
• Serves as a resource to teachers for curriculum, instruction, and instructional strategies. Serves as a resource person for parents.
• Implements the process, policies and forms in the St. Pius X School Learning Support Handbook.
