Part -Time Music Teacher
Qualification, Skill, and Knowledge Requirements

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive music program for Grades 9-12 students.• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive music lessons that align with state standards and educational objectives.• Teach students how to read music, play instruments, and sing.• Plan and lead rehearsals for school performances and concerts.• Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, teamwork, and respect for diversity.• Assess students' progress and provide feedback to students and parents.• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the broader curriculum.

Requirements:
• Dedication to AMSU mission and values• Strong interpersonal skills that contribute to a collegial working environment • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching music to middle school or high school students.• New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area preferred• Bachelor's degree required• A passion for being part of a team-oriented, mission-driven Catholic school culture• A strong desire to become a better teacher by joining AMSU community• Strong knowledge of music theory, music history, and various musical genres.• Ability to play at least one musical instrument proficiently.• Excellent oral and written communication skill

Salary:
$35 per hour (negotiable based on education and experience), 15 hours per week (approx.)
